Hello, my name is Alfie.  I can be a bit nervous when I first meet people but when I get to know you, I love nothing more than cuddles and attention!

I also love stretching out for hours on the sofa in the sunshine! I am looking for a loving home where I can , play, sleep somewhere warm and watch the world go by, please. Because I was uneutered, I became infected with the FIV virus.  This is nothing to worry about at all, it just means I can now longer go outside or be around other cats that are non- FIV. So I will need to be a house cat but I am rather special!

Alfie is between 5-7 years old, loving, sweet-natured and has been neutered.

Alfie is FIV positive but please don't let that put you off him.  He's in good health and FIV cats do live long, happy lives, as long as they receive prompt veterinary treatment for any health problems, as you would for any cat, really.  The FIV virus can only be transmitted to other cats - so you, your children, dogs or any other animals definitely couldn't catch it from Alfie.   It does mean, however, that we recommend Alfie either be an only cat or rehomed with another FIV positive feline.  He'll also need to be kept indoors - this makes him ideal for anyone without a garden or who lives on a busy road but would still love to have a cat of their own.
