I love the picture of him.  Sounds like he'll make a super cat for someone willing to invest the time in him.

Jackson is a very intelligent and dear cat who has been waiting far, far too long for his
chance of a new home! At around 6 years old he has so much to offer the right family.

Here is what his loving fosterer has to say about him:

Jackson is proving to be a friendly, funny cat, he loves to play and is very energetic
chasing a toy on a stick or flicking a toy round the room, anything is fair game to him!
Although Jackson may not be a lap-cat, he really does like and actively seeks out human
company and will follow us around and lie at our feet. He can be quite nervous at times
needing a little place to hide for 5 minutes, until he comes out and looks at you with
those beautiful big green eyes.
We think he would prefer to be the only cat but I have seen him staring at his reflection in
the mirror, so perhaps he has got over the shock of seeing a handsome black cat looking back
at him? Jackson purrs when he is being stroked and when he is settling down on the bed for
a sleep with us. He's always willing to lend a paw in the kitchen when we are preparing
food but never helps with the washing-up!
If I were writing this about a dog I'd suggest agility training and long walks and
lots of exercise! Jackson likes to have things to do. My house is fast becoming filled
with different cat toys; "cheese- chase" is currently his favourite toy!

If he could talk I think he would describe himself as a handsome, suave ladies man!

For all his lovely, funny ways, he doesn't mind letting you know if you step out
of line. Therefore, I feel that experienced owners who won't be put off by a gentle
smack if they get something wrong, would ideally suit him! Given time and understanding
and a lot of TLC Jackson is becoming a good friend and companion. I love having him here
but he does need a place to call his own, with a garden where he can play and prowl.
